We have a high proportion of female members in Penge CC and are proud to be an inclusive and welcoming club for all.

We don’t organise anything exclusively for female riders, because women are active and involved in everything the club does!

Whether you’re new to cycling or you’re looking to develop your skills further, you’ll find women in the club who will share their expertise and give you lots of encouragement.

There are women at every level in the club. You’ll find us enjoying the Kent lanes every Sunday (we know the best places for coffee and cake). You’ll find us completing endurance challenges like Land’s End to John O’Groats. You’ll find us on the podium at cyclocross races. You’ll find us leading rides, organising events and planning the next social in the pub!

We’re always keen to welcome more women to the club – get in touch if you have any questions pengecc@gmail.com , try riding with us one Sunday, or sign up today as a member.

What our members say…

“There are no rules: ride a cheap bike. Ride an expensive one. Wear lycra. Don’t. Clip in. Or not. Ride far. Ride little. It’s up to you. Find your niche, whether it’s a pootle for cake and coffee, or smashing it round Herne Hill Velodrome, or doing 200km+ days in the saddle, you’ll find it.”

Niki Wilson

“I have been at some events where the testosterone was overbearing and made it almost unwelcoming. You do not get that in Penge CC at all. It’s your love of cycling that brings us together, not your gender.”
